1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Botstack, provided by Creavite, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites, dashboard, AI chat, Discord bot builder, hosting, deployment, and related services.

Botstack helps users create and host Discord bots. Because of that, we may process account information, Discord-related information, bot configuration, prompts, generated code, logs, and credentials needed to run your bots.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign in, we may collect information from Discord or another authentication provider, such as your user ID, username, display name, avatar, email address, and account metadata made available through the provider.

Bot and workspace information

We collect information you provide or generate while using Botstack, such as bot names, Discord bot IDs, bot tokens, environment variables, repository and deployment metadata, bot configuration, prompts, chat messages, generated code, uploaded images or files, threads, commands, and settings.

Operational information

We may collect logs, error reports, build output, deployment status, runtime status, credit usage, usage limits, support messages, feedback, and other information needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve Botstack.

Website and device information

We may collect analytics and technical information such as pages visited, referral source, browser type, device type, IP address, approximate location, timestamps, and interaction events. We may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and product functionality.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, host, deploy, and maintain Botstack and your bots.
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts, sessions, plans, credits, and access.
  • Generate bot code, configuration, messages, and suggestions using AI systems.
  • Store and run bot configuration, tokens, environment variables, and generated code.
  • Process builds, deployments, logs, errors, and runtime events.
  • Respond to support requests, feedback, abuse reports, and security issues.
  • Monitor, protect, and improve Botstack, including preventing fraud and abuse.
  • Analyze usage, diagnose issues, and improve performance, reliability, and features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. AI Processing

When you use Botstack's AI chat or builder, prompts, messages, files, code, logs, configuration, and related context may be sent to AI model providers or AI infrastructure partners so they can generate or assist with bot code, configuration, explanations, or troubleshooting.

Do not submit personal data, confidential information, or secrets unless they are necessary for the bot or support request. We may retain AI chat history, generated code, and related context so you can continue working on your bot and so we can debug and improve the service.

5. Discord Data and Bot Tokens

Botstack may process Discord account data, Discord server information you provide or make available, bot IDs, bot tokens, bot avatars, command metadata, and runtime events needed to create, deploy, or operate Discord bots.

Bot tokens and secrets are used to validate, create, deploy, operate, or troubleshoot your bot. We may store sensitive credentials in encrypted or protected form, but you remain responsible for managing, rotating, and revoking credentials in Discord and other third-party systems.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and processors that help us operate Botstack, including:

  • Authentication providers, including Discord.
  • AI model providers and AI infrastructure providers.
  • Hosting, deployment, database, storage, and repository infrastructure providers.
  • Analytics, observability, logging, and error-monitoring providers.
  • Payment processors and billing providers.
  • Support, communication, and abuse-prevention tools.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Botstack, maintain your account and bots, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

If you delete a bot or account, we may delete or de-identify associated data, subject to backups, logs, legal requirements, security needs, and operational limitations. Some information may remain in backups or audit logs for a limited period.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and protections for sensitive credentials. No online service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and you are responsible for keeping your Discord account, Botstack account, bot tokens, API keys, and devices secure.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. International Processing

Botstack and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your local laws. We take steps designed to protect information as required by applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

Botstack is not intended for children under the age required to use Discord or the service in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Botstack without appropriate permission, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the website, dashboard, Discord community, email, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of Botstack after an update means the updated policy applies.
